At North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site on Sunday November 9, 2003 at the age of 57 years. Beloved husband of Donna Rathwell. Dear father of Ken and Rob both of North Bay. Dear brother of Lynn (Gus Lavoie), Ron Shortt (Karen), Monty Shortt (Jackie) all of North Bay, Terri (Alex Trusevych) of Calgary and Rick of Toronto. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Agnes Shortt, daughter Laurie son Frankie and a brother Frank. Jim was co-founder and treasurer of the North Bay and Area Adult & Youth Disabled Centre. Family receiving friends at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Road, today November 11 from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 pm and on Wednesday from 1 to 2 pm. Funeral service Wednesday November 12 at the Funeral Home at 2 pm. Donations to the North Bay and Area Disabled Centre in memory of Jim will be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
