SHIELDS, Irene Mary

Passed away at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on May 27, 2016 at the age of 81 years. Irene (née Mathieu) was the beloved wife of the late George ''Joe'' Shields.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Betty Mercier (Wayne) of London, Steve (Shannon), Gary (Kathi) and Don Shields all of British Columbia, grandchildren, Cassandra, Greg, Travis, Matt, Lindsay, Megan, Nick and Jocyln. Irene was the dear sister of Val Cantin and Lila Baumkin. Predeceased by her parents, Julia and Oscar Mathieu, her four brothers, Albert, Edward, Tom and Sam and her sisters, Louise, Sal and Rose. Family and friends may pay their respects at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Friday June 3, 2016 from 12 noon until 2pm. A Memorial Service will be conducted in the McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel at 2pm.
