SHEA, David Duncan "Dave"

At the North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site on Sunday, November 23, 2003 at the age of 94 years. Dave Shea and his beloved wife Ida (nee Hansen), celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary this past July 7th. As well as Ida, Dave is also survived by his sisters, Irene Mills, and Frances Mills and her husband Herman, all of Dundalk, Ontario. Predeceased by his brothers, Irwin, Edwin and Harold and sisters, Jean, Maggie, Mae and Alice. Long time residents of Tilden Lake, Dave and Ida settled there in 1942. He worked for several years as a guide, and in the lumber mill. He will be remembered by many as the owner of Shea's White Rose Service Station, a business that he and Ida operated for 26 years. In 1999 they moved to North Bay. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) today, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral services will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 26th at 2 pm. Interment will be in the family plot in Badjeros, Ontario, on Friday, November 28th at 1 pm. If desired, donations to the Cancer Society or the charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
