At 11:03 on Monday November 29th, 2021, in his 79th year, David Curry Robinson passed away peacefully, surrounded by love in his home after a short battle with cancer.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Judi (nee Bailey), son Brent (Kim Weir), daughters Stacey Lavigne and Lianne Crowe (Jeff), his grandchildren Samantha (Matt Terry), Taryn (Isaiah Rose), Jeffrey and Delaney Crowe, Jessica Holmes (Justin), and his four great-grandchildren Thomas & Dawson, Fallyn, and Zoey. David is also leaving behind many nieces and nephews.

A 1965 Queens grad, a professional engineer, and Officer of the Order of Honour in the P.E.O, David received the Sovereign Medal for Volunteerism, and worked hard for Emmanuel United Church, the P.E.O, and the Canadian Cancer Society, as well as many other organizations and committees. David was a coach for his children’s sports teams and an active sportsman himself through most of his life.

Thank you to the friends and family who have supported Dave through this time, and a heartfelt thank you to the CCAC medical team who helped make his final moments comfortable and peaceful. Your efforts have meant the world to his family. A very special thanks to Joan McCrudden who was the heart and strength of the family for many days, and to Dr. James Truong for all of his compassion and support.

The funeral will be held at Emmanuel United Church on Saturday December 4th from 1:30-2:30pm. Covid-19 restrictions will be in place regarding vaccinations and capacity.

Should you choose to make them, donations to the Emmanuel United Church “General Fund” or a charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
