RIZZUTO, Antonietta (Zimbalatti)

After years of many courageous battles, Antonietta passed at the North Bay Regional Health Center on January 27, 2020 with her two daughters holding her; the way she would have wanted it. Antonietta was the wife of the late Vincenzo "Vince" Rizzuto and loving mother of Tina Rizzuto-Joles (Todd) and Diana Rizzuto (Dimitri). Most of all she was the proud Nonna of Tiana Joles and Mia Ivanov; the loves that kept her going. Dear sister of Giuseppe-deceased (Antonietta), Vincenzo-deceased (Gina-deceased), Antonino (Shirley- deceased), Gaetano (Franchesca), Francesco-deceased (Maria), Caterina (Domenico-deceased), Natalina (Stanley, deceased), Beniamino (Gaetano -deceased), Benito (Janet), Silvio (Roslind). Sweet Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was born in Santo Stefano, Italy October 22, 1943. After coming to Canada in 1957, Antonietta worked for the North Bay General Hospital, Boart Longyear and Leisure World Retirement home. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with family and friends. She is an inspiration to us as a true warrior who fought to stay alive to be with her four girls. We will always remember her love of gardening, devotion to her family and her witty sense of humor. Visitation will take place Wednesday January 29, 2020 from 6 to 9 pm at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay).  Funeral mass will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Church on Thursday January 30, 2020 at 11:00 am. Lunch to follow at The Davedi Club. Donations to the North Bay Regional Health Center or the Nipissing Serenity Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
