REA, Lorraine

(1934 – 2019) - Lorraine passed away at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Tuesday October 15th, 2019 at the age of 85 years.

She was predeceased by her husband David, her parents James and Elsie Robertson. Dear mother of David James Rea (Dawn O’Connor). She was a beloved grammy to David and Brendan. She will also be missed by her friends at The Shopping Channel.

Lorraine was instrumental in the foundation of the Dialysis Renal Unit at the North Bay Civic Hospital and was the founding member of the 0.N.A. She was also manager of the emergency department for many years, I.C.U. and C.C.U.

Her care and compassion towards people over the years will always be appreciated. She was a kind soul and had a big heart, she will be sadly missed.

Family receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd., on Saturday October 26th, 2019 from 11:30am noon until 1:00 pm, a celebration of her life will follow at 1:00 pm.

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff of Waters Edge Care Community for the care and compassion given to Lorraine over the years.

Donations to the North Bay Humane Society or the North Bay Regional Health Centre (Renal Dialysis) in memory of Lorraine will be gratefully acknowledged.
