Quist

(September 10, 1939 - November 10, 2019) - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Beverly Quist on Saturday, November 10th, 2019. Wife of the late Edward Quist, loving Mother of Eric Quist and Kirsten Gracequist (Michael Gracequist) Blaine Quist. Grandmother to Kelli Goulais, Quinten, Kevin and Mackenzie Gracequist, great grandmother to Preston and Khloe Valliere. Beverly, daughter of Blain and Julie Wright of Lethbridge, Alberta moved from Calgary to Ottawa after graduating from Nursing in the early 1960s. Bev then moved from Ottawa to North Bay and then Sturgeon Falls in the early 60s to pursue a career with VON and later worked for the North Bay and District Health Unit for 25 plus years. Beverly and "Steady Eddy" met in North Bay in the early 60s and soon married started a family and moved to Sturgeon Falls in 1967. Beverly will be most remembered by her involvement with the Ontario Mental Health Association, Sturgeon Falls Granite Club, Red Hat Society, and the North Bay Rorab Shrine Club. Beverly will also be remembered by her wonderful sense of humour and gift of generosity. Bev loved to share jokes and give great advice to anyone who asked, and she never missed a birthday or an anniversary to all who were part of her life. Bev gave also unconditional love and support to close friends and her family. Beverly and Ed spent many good times with family and friends at their family cottage. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Schizophrenia Society of Ontario or the West Nipissing General Hospital would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. The family would like to thank Dr. Jennifer Beaucage and the amazing staff at the WNGH and CarePartners for their wonderful care. There will be a visitation at the McGuinty Funeral Home (123 Railway Street Sturgeon Falls) on Friday November 15, 2019 from 5 pm to 7 pm and on Saturday November 16, 2019 from 1 pm until the Funeral Service in the McGuinty funeral Home Chapel at 2 pm.
