It is with broken hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Henry Poitras. Dearly loved and devoted husband of Connie (nee Hughes), together 54 years. Loving father of Victoria Laporte (Raymond) and Tamara Franke. Papa will always be remembered by his grandchildren; Tyler Laporte (Ashley), Matthew Laporte (Jennifer), Delainy- Joe Franke (Ciren), Calli- Mae Franke (Michael) and great great grandfather to 2 soon to be born great grandbabies. Henry will be sadly missed by his son Van Johnston (Kelly), daughter Debbie Duguay and his granddaughters Melanie and Crystal. Dear brother of Leonard Thibault (Ellen), Norm Thibault (Marnie), Mike Thibault (Sue), Richard Thibault (Sue), Denise Thibault (Nancy) and Orville Thibault. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Predeceased by his parents; Elie and Francis Poitras, his brother Simon and Lady Bug his canine companion. Henry always enjoyed spending time with his family, especially watching his grandchildren grow and enjoyed his favorite hobby of fishing. Family will be receiving visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Thursday June 21, 2018 from 11 am until 3 pm. A time of reflection will be held at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be gratefully appreciated by his family.
