PETRUZELLA, Nicholas

Of Welland, passed away peacefully at the Extended Care Unit of Niagara Health System, Well and Site, early Wednesday, October 15, 2003, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Lena. Loving father of Frank (Anna), Mary Anne (Norm), and predeceased by his son Joseph. Dear brother of Dave (Marlene), Joseph and Mary. Remembered with much love by is seven grandchildren Jeffery (Vicki), Shannon, Andrea, Stephanie, Lisa, Colin and Ryan. He will be dearly missed by his daughter-in-law Sheila, sister-in-law Ruth and many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Francesco and Maria, brothers John and Charlie, sisters Frances and Onie, brother-in-law George and sister-in-law Donna. Nick was born in Racamuto, Sicily and moved to Welland at the age of 13. Nick worked at the Stelco Page Hersey for 36 years and was an active member and past president of Page Hersey Credit Union. The family will receive their friends at J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence, 19 Young Street, Welland, this evening from 7 to 9 pm and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, where a Vigil will be held on Friday afternoon at 3 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Kevin’s Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, October 18th at 10:30 am. Rite of Committal will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
