Huguette passed away surrounded by the love of her family at Cassellholme on Saturday December 7, 2019 at the age of 83 years. Beloved mother to Antoine Payne (Nancy) of British Columbia and Elizabeth Dawson of the UK. Cherished Mémé to Benjamin, Aimee, Emilie, Sean and Megan. Huguette was predeceased by her parents Victor and Anne (nee Streiff) Bintz and her brother Marcel Bintz (Regine-surviving). Huguette was born in Lixing les St Avold, a small village in France near the German border. In 1962, she made the difficult move to leave her parents and extended family to relocate with her military husband to begin a new life in Canada. The young family  first settled in Alliston and then North Bay which has been her home since 1973. Huguette was a dedicated teacher spanning a career of nearly 30 years teaching French in Alliston and then in North Bay. She loved her family, her home, and  her beloved church Holy Name of Jesus. She was a devote Catholic and served many years with the Catholic Women’s League at Holy Name. The family invites all to a prayer service and Entombment at All Saints Mausoleum on Monday December 30, 2019 at 11am. A Celebration of Huguette’s life will be celebrated at Holy Name of Jesus Church on Monday May 18, 2020 at 11 am.
