Parr Chuck.jpg 01

1942 - 2021

Passed away suddenly at his home at the age of 78.  Dearly loved husband of Joanne Parr.  Loving father to a huge blended family;
Jacqueline (John), Jason, Marjorie, Mikaline, Kelly, Kerry, Heidi, and Mike, predeceased by Chris and son in law Jeff. Fun loving grandpa to Felix, Cooper, Ryan, Justin, Kyle, Jamie, Katrina, Ben, Issac, Jadzia,and Joey.  He will be sadly missed by his sister Sue Ashton and his nephews Stuart and Jimmy (predeceased).

Chuck was known to send a daily message to his friends and family.  He thought about what people loved and made sure to brighten their day with funny videos or pictures.  Every single morning, he would phone his best buddy and brother in law Ron Sullivan at 7:30 am.  Chuck and Joanne loved their adventures with Ron and Jeannie.

After 35 years of Honourable Service with the Military, he remained closely tied to the Callander Legion.  Chuck was a member of the colour party and led the empty bottle return depot; volunteering weekly.  He was instrumental in the Callander Cenotaph restoration project and previously held positions as Vice President and Sargent at Arms.

Chuck was a jack-of-all- trades with a love for horses, farming, and travelling with Joanne.

You didn’t need to be told Chuck was in the room…you could hear his voice and laugh over everyone.  He had a larger than life personality and his presence was fun loving and doting.
Due to the current pandemic Chuck’s body will be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held when circumstances permit larger gatherings.
If you’d like to honour his memory with a donation, please consider the Callander Legion
Branch #445.  Arrangements entrusted to Martyn Funeral home
