Blair Osborne died peacefully at his home in Geraldton, with family and friends by his side, on Sunday, January 8, 2023.  He was 56 years old. Blair was the beloved son of the late Donna (Storie) and Allan Osborne of Powassan. He will be lovingly remembered by his partner, Patti (Booth) O’Handley of Geraldton; sons Tyler Osborne of Alberta, Nick O’Handley (Kyla) of Burks Falls, Brandon Booth (Nicole) of Powassan; grandchildren Savanna and Kane Booth; sisters Sherry Carnevale of Callander and Paula Brooks of North Bay; niece Kassidy Meecham (Steve) of Callander, nephews Kody Carnevale (Nina) of Corbeil, Kaleb Carnevale (Mila) of North Bay and great-nephew and niece Ryder and McKinley Meecham. Blair will also be fondly remembered by Lois Booth and the Booth Family, Kerry Carnevale, Rick Brooks and many other great friends that he made along his journey in life.

Blair started his career with the MNR in Kenora fighting forest fires and loved being out in the bush.  He also had a passion for carpentry, eventually going full-time as a carpenter, and was very proud of his accomplishments.  He was a visionary, able to see the potential of every job he took on. He hoped to move onto doing custom woodworking after moving to Geraldton, but was unable to, due to his battle with cancer. Blair was a true outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish every chance he could get. He lived his life the way he wanted, and if you were fortunate enough to be around him, you knew that whatever you were about to do, it would be an adventure to remember!

Becoming “Poppy” was one of his greatest joys in life and he had a special bond with "his girl Savanna” and his “little man Kane”.  Blair’s only regret was that he was not going to get to watch them grow up or get to be poppy to any future grandchildren.

Family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 10 am to 12 pm, followed by a time of reflection and celebration.

Should you want to make a donation in memory of Blair, The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada (makeawish.ca), is suggested.
