O’RILEY, George William

After battling and overcoming many health challenges over recent years, George O’Riley gave the last of his strength on Monday, November 12, 2018, passing away with his family by his side at the  North Bay Regional Health Centre. He was in his 66th year. George was the beloved husband of Mary Ellen (Piper) of Callander. He was the much-loved father of Kara Zambelli (Adrian) of Sudbury and was like a father to nephew Dean Laframboise (Martin Berthelot) of Ottawa. George was the cherished son of Elsie (Boles) O’Riley of Ottawa and the late Robert O’Riley. He was the dear brother of Clarence Boles (the late Joan) of Aspdin and Linda Laframboise (the late Glenn) of Ottawa. George will be lovingly remembered by his parents-in-law George and Betty Piper of Callander; his sisters-in-law Lauri Hewitt (Bill) of Callander and Liz Beane (Sean) of Windermere; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Cremation has taken place. The O’Riley family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm. Interment of ashes will take place at Powassan Union Cemetery, at a later date.
