(May 18, 1949 - July 19, 2017) - With heavy hearts, our family announces the sudden passing of Murray. Predeceased by his parents, Calvert Murray & Nellie Elizabeth. Left to mourn are his loving wife, Diane (Giroux), his son Aaron (Sandra), his daughters Kendra (Dan), Stacey. Special father to his daughter Krista (Tissy) who was a huge love of his life, his rock and his best friend and his furry girls Teegan & Tessa, who already miss him terribly, his sister Trudy (Rick) Stanton & nieces Colleen (Michael) and Meaghan (Steve) and his wife's extended family. Papa to Daniella and Gibson Northrup.
We know that Murray touched the lives of many people in our city - the North Bay Police Force, the North Bay Court House, and the entire sporting community. His kindness and gentleness touched many.
To honour Murray's life a trust fund to assist members of the North Bay Police Force & First Responders with PTSD has been established, `The PTSD Fund in Honour of Muzz``. Donation can be made at either the Northern Credit Union (525 Main St. E., North Bay, ON P1B 1B7) or at the Martyn Funeral Home. As per-Murray's wishes, there will be no service. A Celebration of Murray's life will be held at his favorite place, Osprey Links Golf Course Clubhouse (Callander) on Sunday July 30th, 2017 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM (casual dress). This celebration is not a goodbye - it's a love you see you later. Bring no tears only fond memories.
