MORTON, Maureen (nee Cornett)

Peacefully passed away at Nipissing Manor Nursing Care Centre on Sunday January 8, 2023, at the age of 91 years. Maureen was the beloved wife of the late Robert Morton, and the loving mother to Patricia Fricker (Wayne) and Jacqueline Mallette (Paul).  She was the cherished grandmother to Ryan, Gregory, Nancy, and Natalie, and great-grandmother to Cole, Olyvia, Jamisyn, Hadley, Isla-Rose, Colton, Emery and Lucas. She is survived by her sister Joan Jessup and is pre-deceased by her brother Jack Cornett.  Maureen is also predeceased by her parents John Cornett and Bernice (nee Peever) Cornett. Maureen will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grand-mother, and friend.  She lived a full life and never missed a beat with her sharp mind, quick wit, and love for her family.  She was a devote New Apostolic Christian who always believed in helping others and was steadfast at her faith.  The family will be receiving visitors at the New Apostolic Church (North Bay) on Thursday January 12, 2023, between the hours of 3pm-4pm.  A funeral service will follow at 4pm.
