McLAREN, Alden

(September 20, 1930 - May 24, 2019) - Alden passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday May 24th, 2019 at the age of 88 years.  He was the son of the late George and Rebecca McLaren. Also survived by his brother, Robert (Sally); sisters Jean, Doriel, Barbara (Dieter) as well as by many nieces and nephews. Alden was a skilled auto body repair man with over 50 years of experience working in his trade. In his younger years, Alden was an avid hunter and fisherman. He traveled to many areas in Europe, the Caribbean and South America and most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Everyone enjoyed Alden’s sense of humour.  He will be greatly missed by those who knew him. As per his wishes, there will be no visitation. The family would like to express special thanks to the Barclay House staff for the dignified and compassionate care they provided to Alden.
