McCLOSKEY, Beth Violet (Ibbitson)

It is with heavy hearts. we announce the peaceful passing of Beth Violet McCloskey (Ibbitson), with her devoted caregiver, Shiroon Ali by her side, at Cassellholme, North Bay, August 14, 2017. Beth is survived by her sister Jean Brown, step-son William Watt, daughter in-law Cheryl Watt, granddaughter Kate Watt, great grandson Reece Thrush, Nephews: Tim Reynolds, Greg Reynolds, Todd Brown, Dale Ibbitson, Allen Ibbitson and Wayne Saunders.
Nieces: Kim Erickson, Faye Ibbitson and Barbara Ibbitson, Long-time friends, Marguerite Dillane, former
daughter-in law Laura WattBeth was predeceased by her loving husband of 48 years, Donald McCloskey, her son Robert (Bob) Watt,
sisters Edna, Dorothy, Mary and Ruth, brother Evan Ibbitson, brother in law Vic Reynolds, stepdaughter
Patricia Mclean, granddaughters Traci Mclean and Renèe Brunette.   
Beth was a long-time employee at the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital where she worked as a cook. Beth
loved to cook and stuff her guests with great food and always sent kids packing with “treats”, even when
those kids grew into adults. She enjoyed tending her famous raspberry patch for over 40 years and
sharing the produce with others. A very kind person with a great sense of humour. She will be missed.
At Beth's request, there will be no funeral service. There will be a graveside gathering for her inurnment,
held at the Powassan Union Cemetery, highway 534,Tuesday, August, 22 , 2017 @ 1030 am for all those
who wish to attend, Beth will be laid to rest next to her husband Don.
A special thank you to the staff at Cassellholme and caregiver Shiroon Ali for the care given over the 7
years of Beth's stay.

Rest in peace Beth, this journey is complete.   June 4, 1927-August 14, 2017
