McCARTHY, Norman

With deep sorrow in their hearts, the family announces the sudden passing of Norman Junior McCarthy on May 23, 2017 at the age of 57 years. Loving son of the late Norman Sr. and Geraldine McCarthy (nee Jean). Loving father to Allan McCarthy (predeceased) and Amanda McCarthy. He was the “Best Papa Ever” to his 10 loving grandchildren; Amaris, Kylo, Leeland, Maverick, Jerzee, Denver and Toryn McCarthy (Amanda’s children); Damian McCarthy, Dakota (D.J) and Phoenix Kotsilidis-McCarthy (Allan’s children), he will be forever missed. He was a loving brother to 13 siblings; Linda (Mike), Brenda (Gary), Bev (Ron), Donna (Lorne), Doreen –predeceased (Gord), Kathy (Rand), Joanne (Steve), Patsy (Gates), Tim (Louise), Carol (Gaetan), Mark (Nadine), Leeann (Raymond), Sherry (Sylvain). Norm will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Norm was the proud owner of ADAN Delivery and sat on the council of Antoine First Nation of Ontario. Norm enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and most of all being involved in the daily lives of his daughter and his 10 grandchildren. He was a selfless man who would help anyone in need at anytime/ anywhere. Family will be receiving visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Sunday May 28th, 2017 from 2-4 & 6- 9 pm. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Monday May 29th, 2017 at 11 am. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
