Passed away peacefully at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Friday May 17, 2019, at the age of 90 years. He was predeceased by his wife Ilse (nee Chalup). Loving father of Annette Hansman (Chuck), John May(Denis), and Claire Baril (Patrick). Beloved grandfather to Melanie and Ryan, Petra, Charles and Tatiana, Christina, Laura, and Amanda. Great grandfather to Connor, Charlotte and Victoria. Beloved friend and foster father to Natasha McDonald. Mr. May was passionate about architecture, city planning, and the arts. He served two terms on North Bay City Council. His most noteworthy architectural achievement is St. Joseph’s Motherhouse, a landmark on the North Bay shoreline. In keeping with his wishes his funeral will be private.
