Of Mattawa, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 4th, 2004 in her 90th year. She is survived by her adult children; Roger (Jean) of St. Elie, D'Orford, Quebec, Fernand (Rollande) of North Bay, Claude (Betty) of Jasper, Ontario, Guy (Pauline) of North Bay, Gerry (Rejeanne) of Mattawa, Gilles (Linda) of Calgary, Ginette of Ottawa, Gisele (Gary) of Hanmer, Diane (Bill) or Renfrew, Carole (James) and Lyn (Mike) of Mattawa. Also survived by 38 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Ernest Matte (1976) and daughters Yvette and Jeannine and son Roland. Friends and relatives may call at the T.L. Smith Funeral Home, Mattawa, today, June 7th, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Ste. Anne's Church, Mattawa on Tuesday, June 8th, 2004 at 11 a.m. Interment St. Anne's Cemetery. Donations to the Cancer Society or Mattawa General Hospital would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
