Omer Mathon born January 29, 1932, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at Eastholme Nursing Home, Tuesday May 18, 2021 at the age of 89. Omer was dedicated as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Predeceased by his wife Lillian Mathon (Vachon) and his parents Oliver and Melvina. Survived by his two sons: Lawrence (Terri) Missouri, USA and Marcel (Robin) North Bay; seven granddaughters: Suzanne, Natalie, Emily, Melissa, Sarah, Laura, Mary-Kathleen. Five great-grandchildren, Kayden, Logan, Ava, Liliana, Miles.
The family would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at Eastholme for their thoughtful and compassionate care of Omer and their support for his extended family. Thank you also to both his physicians Dr. O’Grady and Dr. King for their consistent, calm, and respectful approach to Omer.
We would also like to acknowledge and thank the staff at NBRHC C3 for their care and compassion from his admission in 2017 to his transfer in March.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Internment will take place at Jehovah's Witnesses Cemetery, Chisholm Township.
