Aged 82, of Comox, died suddenly at home, surrounded by his family on Monday, July 26th, 2004. Predeceased by his son Peter and daughter-in-law Marcia. John is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife of 57 years, Barb; son Phil (Denise) of Comox, daughter Barb (Bob) of Peachland and son David (Aki) of Victoria; grandchildren Pete, Celeste, Brian, Mike, Dan, David and Ashleigh as well as his sister Betty of London, England. John served with the RAF during World War II, then with the RCAF. Flying for some 40 years, he was decorated with the Distinguished Flying Medal. Well known for his love of the outdoors and his fondness of animals, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, July 30th at 2 p.m. from Comox Pentecostal Church, 1919 Guthrie Road. Comox Valley Funeral Home and Crematorium, 1101 Ryan Road, entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers or donations, John's family would appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
