It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Rick Madden on June 20, 2021. Rick was born in Toronto on April 25, 1962. He was the beloved son of Keith and Connie Madden, both deceased. Rick leaves behind his sisters, Karen Cook (Paul) and Lisa Lean. He will be fondly remembered by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rick was an avid angler and hunter who loved the outdoors. He spent countless hours on Lake Nosbonsing fishing with Mom and Dad. Rick took great pride in his trade as a brick layer.

The family would like to thank all of the health care professionals at the VON. For the past three years they have gone above and beyond to ensure that Rick could live independently.

Thanks to Dr. McKenna for her post-stroke care. Your kindness will not be forgotten.

We would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Rotondo. We are so grateful to you for all the years you cared for Rick.

Over the past three years Rick has been the recipient of so many acts of kindness, all of which contributed to his ability to stay in the home that he loved. We are so thankful to everyone. There really are no words.

Due to COVID restrictions, a celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
