Registered nurse. Passed away peacefully with her family surrounding her December 24, 2003 at the North Bay General Hospital Scollard Site. Born August 3, 1927 in Sydney, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Jessie (Black) Bishop. She lived in New Glasgow for most of her growing years, where she obtained her nursing diploma at the Aberdeen School of Nursing. Her family and career years were spent in North Bay, Ontario. Surviving are her devoted and caring husband of 53 years, Ross MacLean, her sisters Dorothy, Peg, nephew Bob Bishop and her children Judy, Don, Hal, Scott, Susan, Paul, Sandra and Joe. She will be greatly missed by all her precious grandchildren, Jennifer, Jon, Adriana, Laura, Taylor, Emma and Anthony. She was predeceased by sisters Mabel, and Louise, brothers Lloyd and two infancy. A private family service will be held Friday, December 26th at 10 a.m. in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel. Many, many thanks to our dear friend are caregiver Theresa and to all of the nurses on 6 West at the North Bay General Hospital for their caring support.
