MAASS, William Sr.

(1931-2017) – Bill passed away at the Ottawa Hospital on Tuesday October 10, 2017 at the age of 85 years. He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Moira Maass (nee Marsh). Dear father of William John Jr, Randy Douglas (Kathleen) and Tammy Lynn Maass. He will be sadly missed by his three granddaughters Amanda, Jennifer and Holly. Predeceased by a sister Patricia Johnston (husband Earl surviving). Bill was a member for many years of the A O T S Mens Club at Trinity United Church and a former member of the Masonic Lodge. He worked for C. P. Rail as carman for over 38 years. Family receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd., on Friday October 13th from 7 until 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church on Saturday October 14th at 1:30 pm. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery at 3:15 pm. Donations to the Trinity United Church Memorial Fund in memory of Bill will be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
