LOEWEN, Peter

Peter spent the last hours of a rich and full life playing with many of his great grandchildren on the shores of the lake that he loved.  Peter passed suddenly into God’s nearer presence on Thursday July 14, 2016.  He was in his 91st year.  Peter was the beloved husband of the late Elsie Tina (nee Baerg).   Loving father of Reverend Janet Jones and her husband Reverend Andrew Jones of Beamsville,  Joyce Ann and her husband David Jones of Winterbourne, Robert Loewen and his wife Venerable Marie Loewen of North Bay, Gary Loewen and his wife Margaret of Corbeil and Joan Walker (John Rowan) of Barrie.  He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Deborah, James, Shelley, Peter, Jonathan, Tracy, Greg, Tracey and by his 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.  Dearly loved brother of Helen, Bertha, Ben, Elmer, and Martha.  Peter was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Margaret Loewen, and by his siblings Henry, Mary, Margaret, Jacob and Tina.  Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Monday July 18, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral service will be held at Christ Church Anglican on Tuesday July 19th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m..  Cremation and Interment service will follow at a later date.  If desired, donations to the Christ Church Anglican or a charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.  Online condolences at www.martynfh.com
