1923-2019 - Joyce passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Friday May 31, 2019 at the age of 95 years. She was predeceased by her husband Christopher Lindsay and son Wayne Lindsay. Dear mother of Hilliard (Linda Hawkins), Bill (Ronda) and daughter-in-law Glenda Lindsay. She will be sadly missed by her 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Also survived by her sister Winnifred Kaufman and a brother Lawrence McQuay. A heartfelt thank you to the closest of friends Malcolm Clark and Cathy Hogan for the care and compassion given to Joyce throughout the years. Joyce was a graduate of St Joseph’s Nursing School. Following her graduation she worked for many years at Nipissing Manor and the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital. She was loved and will be missed by all she touched. Family receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd., on Tuesday June 4rd, from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 pm. A celebration of her life will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday June 5th at 10:30 am. Donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice or the North Bay Food Bank in memory of Joyce will be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
