Posted

With her loved ones by her side, Phyllis Lehman passed peacefully away, at her residence in Cassellholme on February 1, 2004, just a few days after her 95th birthday. She was predeceased by her parents Anna and Edwin Pellow, her husband Reg, her brothers Alt, Harold, (Jack) and Ray, her sisters Beth Valiquette and Florence Jacob, and her companion Don Macnab. Treasuring their memories of her remain her two daughters, Margaret McClelland (Jared) of Carlisle and Dorothy Labrick (Terry) of North Bay, her four grandchildren Jim Piggott, Anne Piggott, Robin Kells and Jacquie Kells-Kennedy, her two great-grandchildren, Tyler Paterson and David McLean and many loving nieces and nephews. This vital, caring woman was known to the family as The Matriarch, she showed us all how to face life's challenges with courage, loyalty, generosity, indomitability and above all love. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her charm, dignity, kindness and humour. Her family will receive friends at MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) this evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, February 4th from 10 a.m. until time for services in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Spring interment in the North Bay Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the North Bay General Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
