1933-2021

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our mother, and nana Holly (Antler) Leatherdale on Friday, March 19.

Survived by her four children, Trudy (Byron) Johnson, Libby (Tom) Grainger, Myles (Tatiana), Lauran (Alex) Larade. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren; Andrew and Allison Johnson, Brenna, Rebecca, and Sara Grainger, Kody, and Kent Leatherdale, and Kortney Kenney, along with six great grandchildren. She was also a second mother to many. Predeceased by her husband Murray, and granddaughter Katie Johnson.

As a young mother, she was an avid bowler (completing a perfect game), sang with the Victor Chorus, was a curler, and ran a dog sled team in various races throughout Ontario. Holly never passed up a chance to sing Takin’ Care of Business on karaoke.

After the passing of her husband, Holly spent much time travelling. She also took great pride in her community with her volunteer work notably at St. Joesph’s Hospital, The Capitol Centre, and the North Bay Area Museum. While always busy, she made sure that her children came first.

The family would like to thank Dr. King, along with the compassionate staff at Marina Point for their kindness and care.

Donations in Holly’s memory can be made to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice or the North Bay Museum.
