It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Alice T. Lauzon (née Bédard) in her 66th year.  Mom passed peacefully at home with her children by her side, as was her wish.  She has re-joined her loving husband Guy (predeceased 2015).

Born in Bonfield to Pierre Bedard & Rhea (Jobin), she moved to her “Little Piece of Heaven” in Chisholm Township 32 years ago with Guy.  There, they raised their family.  Alice was an amazing, thoughtful, generous and loving mother to Luc (Heidi Brooks – Powassan), Michelle (Trevor Lisoy – St. Catharines), Natalie (Lauren Hassard – Toronto) and Dominique (Cory Fryia – Angus).  She was a super special grand-maman to Gabrielle, Maxim, Rhea Lauzon, Marissa Lisoy, Grace Hassard, and Leo, Bronwyn, and Myles Fryia.  Alice leaves behind her siblings: Claire, Monique, Marc, Joseph, Micheline, Paulette and Roxanne.

Alice worked many jobs over the years, but most recently had been with the Township of Chisholm office since 2003.  Mom always handled everything life brought to her with grace and dignity.  She was not afraid of hard work and anything she set her mind to, she had the ability to accomplish.  If there was something you did not know how to do, chances are Alice knew and was willing to help you with it.  She was an avid gardener, seamstress, and cook and was always knitting beautiful gifts for loved ones.  She also looked forward to every maple syrup season.

Mom lived her life with great faith, strength and character and she truly was a beautiful soul, who was courageous and showed grace until her final moments.

The family is very grateful for all of the support from some very special people over the last few years. A private family service will be held.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice’s memory would be appreciated by the family to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice.
