Wilfred Labour died peacefully at Eastham for the Aged on Friday, January 9, 2004 in his 95th year. He was predeceased by his wife Florence Ethel Dunn (deceased October 11, 1992). Wilfred was the loving father of Lorean Generoux, North Bay; Dolores Larochelle (Lou), Powassan; John (Anita), Lake Nipissing (Callander); Delma Hauck (Joseph), Kithchener; Denzil (Jeanne), North Bay; Dennis, Restoule; Leonard (Sheila), Powassan; Glendon (Evelyn), Mattawa and Louis (Ann), North Bay. He was the grandfather of 28, great-grandfather of 37 and great-great-grandfather of 3. He was predeceased by one great-grandchild (Christopher). Wilfred was born April 8, 1909 to Emma (Poirier) and John Latour. He was the last of 10 children: Ernest, Victor, Teleshore, four brothers who died in infancy, sister Lucy Rice and stepsister Cecilia Levesque – all predeceased. The Latour family will receive friends at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, today, January 12, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayers at 7 p.m. Father Terry Foley will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s Church, Powassan on Tuesday 10 a.m. Spring interment Powassan Union Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan.
