Donald Rolland LaRue passed peacefully with his family at his side at Cassellholme in North Bay on Thursday, April 8, 2021, in his 75th year.

Dearly loved brother of Pat Boyer (late Gilbert) & Clifford (Dan). Lovingly remembered by his aunt Ann Simpson (late Emmerson), his nieces and nephews, Lisa (John) ,Luke (Randy), David, Dwayne, Christine (Mike), Cynthia, Kandace (Frank), Randy (Tammy), Paul (Perry), Jennifer (Justin), Laura Lee (Tim), Joseph, his brother in law Orland Conte and sister in laws Carmelle & Maureen LaRue.

Predeceased by his mother Theresa LaRue (Amyot), his father Cecil LaRue, his brothers Benny (late Albertine), Richard, Barry, Willard, Gilbert and his sister Doris.

He will always be remembered for his sense of humour, always making people laugh, and his love for gardening & animals.

He was a dedicated Montreal Canadians hockey fan and to say he was an Elvis fan is an understatement.

With the many obstacles he faced in his life, he still made the best of that life and lived it to the fullest. He loved people and loved to socialize, often seen in Northgate Square, Tim Hortons and riding along Trout Lake Road waving to everyone and spreading good cheer!

The family would like to thank the staff at NBRHC and the staff at Cassellholme for their care and compassion during the past 2 years.

Due to covid restrictions a celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and friends.

Donations in Donny’s memory to the Sick Kids hospital or Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
