It is with great sorrow that the family of Richard (Rick) Landers announces his passing on Friday, December 19, 2003 at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto at the age of 48 years. Born in Timmins, Ontario he was a resident of Manitouwadge, Ontario. An avid outdoorsman, Rick was happy fishing, hunting and spending time at Kegiano. Rick is survived by his wife, Joceline (Boucher) and two sons, Michael (Bonnie) and Shawn all of Manitouwadge and brother of Claudette St. Jean (Réal) of Chelmsford, Ontario, Judy Thériault (Léo) of North Bay, Suzanne Kinnear (Harold) of Hanmer and Robert (Lucie) of Sudbury. Rick was the son of Jeannette (Vezina) and Michael J. Landers (predeceased in 1995). He will be sadly missed by many nephews and nieces and his faithful companion, Magic. He was predeceased by his father and a nephew Jeremy. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Manitouwadge celebrated by Reverend Frank Black. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Cremation to follow immediately. Donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross Society or the charity of your choice.
