Donna passed away peacefully in her home with her husband Bart, daughter Heather, Adam, and nurses with her. She was the loving wife of 41 ½ years to Bart Krouse.
Best Mom in the world to Beth (Chris Boyer), Heather (Adam Stachura), and Wesley (Jessica Dugard).
Amazing Grandma to Michael, Jeremiah, Jasper, Stirling and Payton.
Predecease by her parents Albert and Dorothy McQuaid, and brother Jamie McQuaid (Debbie).
Loving sister to Alex McQuaid, (Mary-Lou), Betty Mueller (Fred), Larry McQuaid (Wendy), Debbie Lang (Steve), and Robert McQuaid (Kathleen). She will be lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews.
Donna always loved animals, especially her dog Taffy. She loved to cook and keep friends supplied with homemade donuts and buttertarts. She was a trained Chef through Canadore College.
Donna will be lovingly remembered for her love for her grandchildren, children and husband. Her family was her everything. It was what she cherished most.
The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life gathering which will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations to the North Bay Regional Health Center - Cancer Diagnostic Center would be greatly appreciated.
The family would like to extend their sincerest thank you’s to Dr. Graham and her staff, CCAC, Care Partners, Paramed, VON, the staff of Martyn Funeral Home, and the caring and understanding staff at Discount Car and Truck Rental, Westburne Electric, and Union Taxi. You have all done an amazing job. We wouldn’t have been able to make it through this without such a great team.
