KING, William Edward ‘Ted’

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on February 3, 2016 in his 74th year. Ted was the beloved husband of Rosellen (née Duncan) and loved father of Claire Joiner (Brian), Tracey King (Gordon Murduff), Michael (Josée) and Christopher (Nancy). He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Liam, Owen, Arrielle, Brenna, Connor, Jacob, Gabrielle, Stephanie, Elizabeth and Dayton. Dear brother of Patricia King (John Caverly) and Gina King. Predeceased by his infant daughter, Stephanie Rose, his parents, Mary Ellen and George King and sister, Moira Hiscock (Roy- surviving). In 1955 Ted and his family immigrated to Canada and eventually settled in North Bay in 1956. At the age of 16 Ted began his 35 year career with the ONR. In his 20’s Ted became an active member of the Algonquin Regement where he has served his country with distinction until the time of his death. Family will be receiving visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Sunday February 7, 2016 from 5-8 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Church on Monday at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in spring of 2016.
