Passed away peacefully at the Waters Edge Nursing Home on Monday March 16, 2020 at 95 years old. Born in Weissach, Germany in 1924 he and his wife, Hildegard, moved to Canada in 1953 & to North Bay, ON 1978 where he partnered with his son, Karl to own/operate Northern Brick & Tile. A founding Member in 1979, Karl was a faithful worker in the North Bay Chapter of Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship in Canada and previously the Chapters of the Toronto area. He was a faithful servant of Jesus in various Churches of the Body of Christ including North Bay Christian Fellowship where he served as an Elder. Predeceased by his wife, Hildegard (2009) married for 57 years, and His son, Karl Thomas (2018), brother Paul (1991), sister Wilma Wӧehr (2019), Karl Paul (Sr) will be dearly missed by his sister, Erika Friesen (husband Wolfgang) and extended family both in Canada and Germany, as well as many brothers & sisters in Christ. Certainly, our loss is heaven’s great gain, as Karl is in the Presence of Jesus now. One of Karl’s many favorite songs is entitled “To God be the Glory, Great Things He Has Done” We would like to thank all those that cared for Karl at Waters Edge Care Community. As per Karl’s wishes a memorial service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Martyn Funeral Home.
