Passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, on Saturday, December 7th, 2019. Leon Gordon Johnson, was the beloved husband of Evelyn Sandzuik, he was 81 years old. Loving father of Martin Johnson of North Bay and he was predeceased by his son Derek Johnson and by his daughter Laura Johnson-Eide. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Alexa and Jacob Johnson and Benjamin & Santanna Eide. Gordon is survived by his sister Carolyn McRae of Truro. A Celebration of Gordon’s life will be held at the Emmanuel United Church on Saturday, January 18th at 2:00 PM. At his request Cremation has occurred and his ashes will be buried in the family plot at the Crossroad Cemetery in Truro, Nova Scotia this spring. In lieu of flowers, donation to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by his family. Arrangements entrusted to Basic Cremation Services 705-476-4444.
