With his family by his side, Cart Johnson died peacefully on Saturday, March 6, 2004 at Nipissing Manor in his 84th year. Carl was the beloved husband of Ruth Caroline (Hart) of Nipissing and the dearly loved father of Cheryl Bullock (Bob) of Brampton, Dale Harper (Bob) of Callander, Dana Johnson (Susan) of Oakville, Robin Bruyns (Rob) of Barrie, Scott Johnson (Kyla) of Nipissing. He was predeceased by his children Barry Johnson, Kathy Cox and Brian Johnson. Carl was the loving Grampa of Paul, Teri, Jason, Aimee, Jonathan, Cassandra, Stephanie, Alicia, Matthew, Mariah, Brian, Holly, Great-Grampa of Tommy, and Max. He will be fondly remembered by Norma and Clayton Gomoll, the Bill Cox family, Harry Grawbarger, and his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Edith, Harry, Hazel, and Mabel Johnson and Eva Anderson. The family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home in Powassan (705-724-2024) today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9p.m. and Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. Spring interment Nipissing cemetery. If desired, donations may be made in Carl's memory to the Nipissing Knox United Church Memorial Fund or the Nipissing Manor Auxiliary.
