Ivanco, Ida (1)

The family sadly announces the passing of Ida Anne Ivanco nee Montroy on March 12th, 2021 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, ON in her 73rd year. She was predeceased by her parents Isadore Montroy and Helen (Thomas) of Mattawa.

Anne is survived by her dear friend and partner Lawrence Tennant, her two children Kathy Banner (David) of Toronto, and David Ivanco (Maryrose) of Kitchener. Anne was also blessed with two precious grandchildren Otis and Marlo Ivanco who meant the world to her.  She sadly leaves behind all five of her sisters; Jean Jodouin (Romeo) of Lancaster, ON, Donna Mather (John) of Oshawa, ON, Linda Exner (Dennis) of Powassan, ON, Darlene Brine (Wayne) of Oshawa, ON and Shirley Belanger (Dan) of Mattawa, ON, as well as her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins and their extended families.  Last but certainly not least her fur baby Shanny, who at the age of 13 remained such a comfort and joy to Anne.

Anne enjoyed an adventurous and challenging life.  She was a long-term employee of Lakeridge Health Oshawa/ Whitby prior to her retirement.   She enjoyed a variety of activities including knitting, skiing, curling, cooking and ceramics, loved a good game of Canasta and being with family and friends.   Anne regularly tuned into CP24 (morning through night) to keep abreast of the world and its’ happenings.  She  had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone who needed her.  She picked the best Christmas gifts and always remembered her large family’s birthdays.  Anne had a life well lived and she had no idea how missed she will be.
Cremation has taken place and a service to celebrate Anne's life will be held once circumstances permit larger gatherings.
Donations in Anne’s memory can be made to The Mattawa General Hospital Fundraising Campaign or the Lakeridge Health Oshawa Cancer Centre.
