Mr. Robert Howard died suddenly, but peacefully, while sleeping in his Chisholm farm home on Thursday, June 3, 2004 in his 69th year. Bob Howard was the beloved husband of June Howard (Desilets) of Chisholm and loving father of Catherine (Larry Brooks) of Corbeil, Joanne (Dale Wilsey) of Korea, Bobby (Lucy) of Toronto, James of Guelph, Jeremy of Powassan, and Jessica (Daryl Sheppard) of Bonfield. Bob was the proud grandfather of Ryan, Rachael and Nadya. He was the dear brother of Dave (Marg) of Montreal, Ellard (Gert) of Perth, Jim (Gracia) of Ottawa, Terry (Don) of Fergus, and Gwen (Bill ) of Rockwood. Bob was predeceased by his parents Loretta and David Howard, his sisters Beatrice Gregory and Margaret Flitton and his brother Tom. Bob spent 35 years of his life as a much loved and very respected elementary school teacher, and filled his retirement years with his love of family, farming and story telling! The family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home in Powassan (750-724-2024) on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. with prayers at 7:00 p.m. and Legion Br. 453 Tribute at 7:15 p.m. The funeral service will be Monday at 11:30 am at St. Joseph's Church in Powassan. Cremation to follow. If desired, donations may be made in Bob's memory to the Right To Life.
