HOOK, Edward Edgar 'Ed'

After a fighting a brief battle with cancer, Ed Hook died peacefully, with family by his side, on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at North Bay Regional Health Centre. He was in his 71st year. Ed was the beloved husband of Elsie Kornelia (Krause) of Powassan. He was the much-loved father of Jonathan of Powassan, Andrew (Wendy) of Ottawa, and David of North Bay. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Elizabeth, Vanessa, Jessica, Jorja, Felix and great-grandson William. Ed was predeceased by his parents Edna Marjorie (Loveless) and Edward Rowland Hook and was the dear son-in-law of Neta Krause of Powassan and the late Kornelius Krause. Ed was formerly a school teacher in northern Canada and operated a taxi service in North Bay for many years. His family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and on Monday, October 22 from 10:00 to 11:00 am. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 11:00 am. Interment at Holiness Cemetery will follow.
