Passed away suddenly at home in North Bay, on September 14, 2021, at the age of 91. Kenneth Wayne Weldon "Ken" Haggart was the beloved husband, for over 66 years, of the late Bernice Aileen (nee Robinson). Proud and loving father of Doug of Alberta, Karen Lecappelain (Steve) and Jeff, both of North Bay. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Amy, Curtis (Shauna), Lisa (Gary), Jenna (Brian), Steven and Shannon (Mason). Ken will be dearly missed by all his great-grandchildren. Ken is survived by his sister Marilyn Haggart of Montreal and will be remembered by Bernice’s siblings Delta Scott (predeceased by Don), Beverly Wood (predeceased by Bob), sister-in-law Lucille “Babe” (predeceased by Art Robinson) and by his many nieces and nephews. Ken is predeceased by his parents Weldon Haggart and Clarabelle Perry and by his siblings Neil Haggart and Edna Philips and by Bernice’s siblings Art Robinson and Eileen South. Ken retired in 1987, as a patrol supervisor, following 33 years of service with the Ministry of Transportation. Since 1973 Ken has been a dedicated member of the Nipissing Masonic Lodge #420 A.F. & A.M. In 1983 he joined the Ramesis Temple, Rorab Shrine Club, and had served as Past Master of the Nipissing Lodge and Mattawa Lodge #405. Ken was a Past District Deputy Grand Master and a Past Most Wise Sovereign, Scottish Rite. Please join us for a Celebration of Life at Martyn Funeral Home at 12:00 on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Along with the Members of the Rorab Shrine Club, who will be honouring Ken, there will be a Eulogy at 1:30 followed by the Internment at Forest Lawn Cemetery (1075 Tower Drive). In memory of Ken, donations may be made to the Shriners’ Children’s Hospital Canada www.shrinerschildrens.org (SHC-Canada if donating online) or mail to 1003 Decarie Boulevard, Montreal, H4A 0A9.
