May 18, 1940 – February 22, 2018 - passed away at home on Thursday February 22, 2018 at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of Yvette (nee Carriere). Loving father of Jean-Paul (Pauline), Michael (Wendy Monette) and Conrad (Joanne Brillinger). He will be sadly missed by his 4 grandchildren Rene Guillemette (Brittany), Amanda Boake (Cameron). Daniel and Victoria (Hugo Tessier), and three great grandchildren Emma, Hannah and Myah. Also survived by his siblings Marie Claire Bebee (Mark), Irene Hotte (Phillipe – deceased), Yvonne Carriere (Rheal – deceased), Roger Guillemette (Yvonne) and Gabriel Guillemette (Cecile) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Raphael & Anna (nee Menard) Guillemette, and by siblings Gerry Guillemette (Evelyn), Noella Poitras (Louis), Marie-Ange Cardinal (Eddie), Claude Guillemette (Annette), Normand Guillemette and Ronald Guillemette (Sharon). Eugene worked as a maintenance foreman for the C.N.R. for many years. He will always be remembered as an avid sportsman and for his love of Bluegrass music. Family receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd, on Monday February 26th from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 pm, and on Tuesday February 27 from 9:30-10 am. A mass of Christian burial will follow on Tuesday at the St Thomas d’Aquin Church in Astorville at 11 am.
