GIRARD, Laurette (nee Ethier)

Born August 14, 1924, Laurette passed away peacefully at Waters Edge Care Community on Sunday May 28th, 2017 at the age of 92 years. Predeceased by her husband Hector Girard. Dear mother of Angele Francoeur (Bernard deceased), Suzanne Tooley (Robert), Conrad (Janet), Rolland (Helene), Gilberte Warren (Victor Mathieu), Leona Hawley (Christopher) and Adrienne Turner (Jim). Cherished memere to 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.  Also survived by brothers Denis Ethier (late Yollande) of Sturgeon Falls, Gilbert Ethier (Andree) of Windsor; sisters Anne Marie Ethier (late Alfred St Laurent) of Lasarre, QC, Helene Vaillancourt (late Raymond) of Windsor; sisters-in-law Therencienne Mondor (late Yvon) of Arnprior and Irene Ethier of Windsor. Also predeceased by her parents Rose de Lima and Fabien Ethier, two grandsons Richard Girard and Michael Tooley, granddaughter Carey Mathieu, daughter-in-law Fernande Girard, sister Fabiola Girard and brothers Edouard, Rosario & Benoit Ethier, sisters-in-law Georgette Bouvier, Germaine Bouvier, Gloria Toal, Antonia Belair, Yvette Mondor, Juliette Cloutier, brothers-in-law Fernand and Paul Girard. Family receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd., on Thursday June 1st from 7 until 9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday June 2nd at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will be held on Saturday June 3rd at the Deep River Cemetery at 11 am. Donations to the Parkinson Canada in memory of Laurette will be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
