GIFFORD, Dorothy

Passed away peacefully with family by her side, on Tuesday, August 1st, 2017, at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, in her 91st year. Loving mother of Nancy Mitchell (Rick) of North Bay, Michael Gifford (Donna) of Waterloo and she was predeceased by her son Avery Gifford (Jane). She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Glen, Laurie, Michael, Christy, Amanda and by her great grandchildren. Dorothy was also predeceased by her siblings Jack & Agnes. She will be remembered as a strong woman, that cared for the well being of her family. Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, August 9th at 10:30am. If desired, donations to the North Bay & District Humane Society or the Nipissing Serenity Hospice would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy. Dorothy`s family would like to thank Dr. Redhead and the entire staff at Waters Edge Care Community, for the care, love and compassion they gave their mother.
