On Sunday, July 14th, Omer Aime Gauthier at the age of 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband to Marguerite (Boudreau), a father to Claude Gauthier, Louise Gauthier (Michael Waller), Denise Gauthier Boucher (Antoine Boucher) and Monique Natale (Tom Natale) and a grandfather to Alexie, Tristan, Olivia (Claude and Karen); Tessa, Maïa (Tom and Monique) Dahlia (Louise and Michael); Xavier and Didier (Denise and Antoine).  He was also a father, grandfather and great-grandfather with the addition of Jill Draves (Mark Draves) and her beautiful family - Josh McKenzie (Wendy) Jamie McKenzie-Shannon (Darren), Kim Price (Rich), Travis Draves (Lindsey), Gage, Lily, Keeli, Halle, Rowyn, Levi.  He is pre-deceased by his parents, Marcellin Gauthier and Melina (Blais) Gauthier and his parents in-law, Henri and Lucie Boudreau.  Omer was also pre-deceased by his sister Lucette (Ivan St. Louis) and his brothers Rolland, Rhéal (Helen), and Roland (Simone (living)). Omer was a loving brother to: Emilia Gauthier (Morris Johnson), Élise (Edward Cuillerier), Aurel (Claudette) and Raymond (Theresa). He was a loving brother in law to: BOUDREAU -Émile (Laurette), Wilfred (Claudette), Bill (Loretta), James (Béatrice), Albert (Carol), Andre (Sharon), Rene (Diane). He was an Uncle (Mononcle) to 55 nieces and nephews. We would like to acknowledge the care givers and medical staff who carried our father through these last 5 years.  A special thank you to the Medical staff: Dr. Anthony Giordano; Nursing staff: Chelsea, Brayden, Courtney, Katie and Sandra; Care workers: Noella, Joe, Alex, Cody, Sam, Randy, Jason, Dave, John, Rex, Lexie, Ann and Amanda, Supervisors: Tera-Lee, Beth, CCAC staff: Laura-lee and Annette. Your steady strength, devotion and respect to our father made the last part of his journey easier to bear.  God Bless You. He will be remembered by many for his attention to detail and great smile during his career at National Grocers and RH Seamless Eavestroughing. He honoured people he loved with his kind heart, his Grizzly Bear strength, his class and most importantly, his love for his wife and family. He will always be in our hearts and honoured in our everyday lives.Rest in peace Papa.You will always be the King of our Family. The family will receive visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Friday July 19, 2019 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Paroisse Saint-Vincent-De-Paul on Saturday July 20, 2019 at 10am. If desired donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
