MERVIN FOURNIER

December 16, 1939 – July 25, 2021

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Mervin at the age of 81 after a long illness with kidney disease. Mervin was born in North Bay, the youngest of 8 siblings (Len Surviving).

Left to mourn him is his wife Dianna of 60 years, sons Jim (Jackie), Allan (Jennifer), Glen (Tracy), grandchildren Dana, Michael, Adam, Dale, Cassy and Chelsea, greatgrandchildren Sierra, Aria, Ezra and Hunter.

Mervin proudly retired from Canadian Pacific Rail after 39 ½ years (October 1995). He volunteered many years and hours coaching kids’ outdoor playground hockey in New Sudbury. Merv liked bowling and did so in the mixed leagues in Sudbury.

Retiring and moving to Sturgeon Falls, he enjoyed playing darts at the Legion, shuffleboard, and fishing.

His wife Dianna would like to thank Doctors and Staff at the North Bay Renal Dialysis Unit, Paramed, Northeast LHIN and Red Cross drivers, especially “Seebert” for his special care, kind friends and neighbours.

A graveside service is to come. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Bay Renal Dialysis Unit or a charity of your choice.
