It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved sister Shelda-Lee (Shelly) Fletcher aged 65 at Waters Edge Care Community on January 25th, 2022.
Shelly was predeceased by her parents Mable and James Fletcher and her sister Helen Barrett (Ron deceased). She is survived by her sisters Shirley Paul (Tom deceased), Barbara Veraldi (Peter), Debbie Osborne (Pat) and Patti Burke as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Shelly was an adventurous and high-spirited woman who enjoyed spending time oceanside with her favourite companion, her dog Abbey. Shelly was a world traveler, outdoor enthusiast, and an excellent guitar player. She brought joy and music to her family and friends. She will be fondly missed by everyone who knew her.
Shelly held a bachelor’s degree in Nursing and worked at many outpost facilities including Baffin Island and beyond. She specialized in palliative care in Victoria BC.
Shelly's family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of the staff at Waters Edge Care Community, especially Pier 1, for their exceptional care and compassion towards Shelly and her family over the last 8 years. You are all truly heroes.
