Ferguson Roxanne

(May 22, 1970 - August 8, 2017) – It is with profound sadness that the family of Roxanne Ferguson (nee Chartrand) announces her passing after a long battle with glioblastoma mutiforme. Roxanne Ferguson passed quietly and peacefully late in the evening on August 8th, with her husband, son, mother, brother and sister-in-law by her side. She was 47 years of age.

She will be sorely missed by her husband of 22 years, William and her son Henry Hunter. Roxanne leaves behind her mother, Esther Tarling (nee Carlson) and step father Peter Tarling of Nipissing, her mother-in-law Judith Ferguson (nee Pitt), and her siblings, Glenn (Barb) Chartrand of North Bay, Christopher Chartrand of Brantford, and brother-in-law George (Barb) Ferguson. She is also survived by her nephews; Anthony and Gabriel and nieces; Kimberly, Trinity, and Ava. She was predeceased by her father Zee Chartrand.

Roxanne loved people of all ages and was dearly loved in return. She had many friends with whom she shared her faith, her love of the outdoors, hockey and the culinary arts. She enjoyed sports, swimming and playing hockey in her younger years, and she was a loyal fan of the Detroit Red Wings. She gave her time to many causes including the Shining Stars Kids Ministry and the First North Bay Trinity United Scouts. She was a graduate of the environmental technology program at Canadore College. A loving and devoted mother, Roxanne dedicated herself to her family and especially to her son Henry Hunter.
