(June 1, 1940 - May 29, 2018) - It is with profound sadness that the family of Judith Ferguson (nee Pitt) announces her passing peacefully at home. She was 77 years of age. She will be sorely missed by her two children; George Ferguson (Barbara White) of Markham, William Ferguson of North Bay and her grandson Henry Hunter. Judith was predeceased by her father Reginald Pitt, mother Lillian Pitt, her sister Jean and her daughter-in-law Roxanne Ferguson.
Judith loved people of all ages. She was a teacher for many years with the Nipissing/Near North Board of Education in both elementary and secondary school panels. She was a graduate of the North Bay Teachers College and Laurentian University. She gave her time to many causes including the Salvation Army earlier in her life, Shining Stars Children’s Ministries, and most recently was an active member of the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption.
Visitation for Judith will take place Tuesday, June 19th, from 1:00-2:00 pm at the Pro-Catherderal of the Assumption with the funeral service to follow at 2:00pm. In accordance with her instructions Judith has been cremated. If desired donations may be made to University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation and the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption.
